Today, Guwahati witnessed the first ever INDI Dog- A- Thon, ‘not a dog show’, as quoted, but a show for the dogs.
Initiated by the AWE Advertising.Weddings.Events team, originally organizing such events in Bangalore, it was more than a ‘success’, as rightly said by the Organizing Committee. The objective of hosting this event was to create awareness on creating a suitable and friendly environment for our street dogs by adoption drives at the venue by famous pet rescuer and award winner Dr. Sangeeta Goswami along with her NGO People For Animal (PFA), also to spread the voice against dog smuggling across the region.
The Event Ambassador was actress and animal lover Barsha Rani Bishaya. The North-Eastern Chronicle would be releasing a #AfterMovie for the event soon.
The event has been a grand success and pioneer in creating a “Show for Dogs and not being a Dog Show” The day at the event ensured all participants and family/friends various entertainment, activities, shows, games and competitions. Safety, hygiene and security for humans and canines alike was of utmost importance. All dog owners were advised to carry their animals health cards/ vaccination cards.
The Official Digital Media Partner, The North-Eastern Chronicle covered the entire event and it received a huge positive response from Guwahatians.
