Maymol Rocky, coach of Indian women’s football team, resigned from her position on Tuesday which she held for 4 years. Rocky has cited ‘personal reasons’ for her departure.
After taking charge as head coach in 2017, Rocky has brought tremendous honour to the country with her team. Under her umbrella, the Indian women’s national team created history in November 2018 by making it through to the second round of the Olympic qualifiers for the first time ever.

As she stepped down, she did not miss the opportunity to thank All India Football Federation (AIFF) for entrusting her with the senior team.
She also extended her heartfelt gratitude to Sports Authority of India (SAI) and Government of Odisha for constant support.
