Assam: Pulibor Police rescues 24 local dogs injected with drugs

On 15th December 2021, Pulibor Police, under the command of Mamoni Hazarika rescued 24 local dogs of Jorhat city of Assam from being illegally smuggled to Nagaland.

The dogs were tied with ropes and sacks and injected with drugs to keep them unconscious.

The police stated that the smugglers were trafficking dogs to those areas for a long time and they sell each dog for 2500/-. Pulibor Police rescued the 24 dogs on 15th December around 6:30 PM and arrested one of the smugglers named Dokur Doley. The rescued dogs are in better condition now in the custody of Pulibor Police.
