Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Bhupen Bora slammed special DGP Assam police GP Singh after the key culprit in the Jorhat lynching case, Neeraj Das aka ‘Kola lora’ (black child), died on Wednesday at 1 a.m. near Cinamara Khariya Chuk while attempting to flee police custody.
APCC president’s opinion on the recent death of Jorhat Mob Lynching accused
APCC president Borah remarked during an NSUI candidates’ felicitation function in Guwahati that they wanted the guilty’s punishment to be carried out legally, but it wasn’t.
“This is the failure of the state police department. Most of the time, the police failed to produce the criminals before the court as they escapes custody. Later, police frame it as ‘encounter’ or road accidents to hide their failures,” Bhupen Bora explained.
Bora also advised the top Assam cop to use Newton’s formula in Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, and Nagaland’s border areas.
Why did he say
This comes after GP Singh tweeted on Wednesday, “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction – Newton’s Third Law.”
The Congress chief went on to say that the Indian government should employ the same technique at the Pakistan and China borders as well.
