The Registrar of the Cotton University on Friday, January 7, has issued a notice declaring that all the Hostels (both Boys & Girls) of Cotton University will remain closed from 07 to 16 January 2022.
Decision taken based on violent conflict in hostels
This decision was taken in the Executive Council meeting held on January 6, 2022, which discussed the violent conflict between the boarders of SNBC and MNDP hostels on the night of 05 January 2022.
Students to carry books, belongings along with them
Since the conflict between the boarders of SNBC and MNDP hostels has inducted major physical damages to both the hostels, both these hostels will be reopened only after the damages are repaired which might take a few months.
The students who reside in these two mentioned hostels have been instructed to carry their books & other important belongings with them.
The boarders of SNBC and MNDP will be required to arrange for accommodation until the hostels are reopened and a letter in this regard will be sent to the guardians of the boarders.
The incident shall be inquired by a high-level committee and appropriate disciplinary action shall be initiated against the culprits identified by the committee.
