However, while speaking to the Sentinel, a section of Book publishers said, “The amount of books sold so far is disappointing when one takes into account the size of the crowds. It seems that many people come here for the festive atmosphere and the cultural events, and not buy books.”

They added that they felt like the sluggish sale of books was perhaps due to disinclination to read books among the young generation, coupled with financial pressure created by the COVID-19 pandemic.
