Cultural Exchange Programme of 20 tribes of Assam to be organized in Shankardev Kalakshetra

A cultural exchange programme of 20 different tribes of Assam is to be organized in Shankardev Kalakshetra from 9 November onwards. This entire campaign focuses on the cultural integration of different tribes.

30 Men and women to take part in this Campaign

Around 30 men and women of different tribes will take part in this campaign. Through this they will be able to know each other’s livelihood, food, and lifestyle. As we all know Assam is an island of different cultures and tribes, it will be a good campaign to make the people of Assam know about different cultures and tribes.

From 9 November this campaign will be held at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra

The campaign will kick off from 9 November onwards in Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra, speaking to the press the authority of Sankardev Kalashetra conveyed on their sole focus to make an interactive program of different tribes of Assam and every other tribe to make to know other Tradition.

20 different Tribes to take part in the exchange campaign

20 different tribes have been selected for this exchange program, those are  Bodo, Tiwa, Tai ahom, Mishing, Tea Tribe, Nepali, Dimasa, and many others.

In the first phase of the campaign 4 tribes will be invited to take part, till March five campaigns will take place in Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra. 

The first phase of the campaign will be held for 15 days where two tribes will exchange cultures of each other for eg Bodo will learn dance from Missing like this the entire exchange program will take place.

The tribes will also get to learn about the Sattriya Dance form created by Srimanta Shankardev

Apart from learning the dance and culture of another tribe, every tribe will also get to learn about the Sattriya Dance and culture created by Shrimanta Shankardev and Guru Madhavdev.

This cultural coordination and exchange program will thus create a bonding between every tribe and tradition residing in Assam.
