Four teachers from Assam made the state proud of themselves as they have been featured as meteorite researchers on the NASA website. Well, the teachers took part in NASA’s International Asteroid Search Campaign (IASC) and were successful in the research.

The four teachers are Kankan Kishore Dutta of Bamunpukhuri Higher Secondary School in Jorhat district, Rajiv Ranjan Dhar of Rabindra Vidyapeeth ME School, Devasmita Pal of Gangacharan Dhanda Vidyaram ME School, and Kuldeep Sensor of Sarva Shiksha Mission, Guwahati.
Reportedly they were working in a team on behalf of VIPNET, an autonomous body under the Government of India.

According to sources, the four teachers collected space photos from the PAN STARRS telescope in Hawaii, USA. They analyzed them with the help of special computer programs, which were later submitted to the IASC
