Description about the incident
A heinous incident took place in daylight street of Rukmini Nagar in Down Town just behind the GS road. A person named Madhusana Rajkumar, a resident of Panjabari assaulted a girl.
The man approached the girl with his scooty and enquired an address when the girl said she couldn’t hear him. The man came closer to her and asked “Sinaki Path Kot ase?”.
The girl politely said that she is unaware and suggested him to ask someone else. No sooner she said the word than the man grabbed her privates (breast) in a way that he had a sudden sexual outburst of rage and aggression on her body.
For a second the girl went in shock but as soon as she saw the demon trying to flee, she started dragging him with her whole strength and finally succeeded to push him to the drain.
The witnesses who saw the incident said she handled the situation with a lot of courage and did the right thing.
Later, Assam police took control over the situation and an FIR has been lodged against the man in the Dispur police station. She said, “I would like to intimate here that no woman is alone, vulnerable, or in need of protection unless a section of society ostensibly holds her responsible for the sick mental processing of these men. Let not be given birth to a ‘Nirbhaya’ every day a man of such psychopathic mentality is born.”
She also said, “As a late 90s kid of Assam, I painstakingly grew up hearing the infamous tales of GS road as the hub of sexual assaults. But never actually had lived any near to an experience of the “Daminis of Assam” until today’s traumatic event had occurred.”
