The Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission is accepting online applications from Indian residents for the position of Horticulture Development Officer, Group ‘A’ (Junior) Horticulture Service, which is part of the Department of Horticulture of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh.

About Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) 

The Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) is a constitutional body established on April 1, 1988, pursuant to Article-315 of the Indian Constitution. The notification OM-15/88 was issued on March 29, 1988. 

The Commission advises the Government of Arunachal Pradesh on all matters relating to state civil services, including publishing notifications inviting applications for selection to various posts as per the appointing authorities’ requisitions, conducting written tests and interviews, preparing ranked lists based on the candidates’ performance, and advising candidates for appointing strictly based on their merit and observing the rules of reservation as and when vacancies arise.

Number of openings: 18

The age limit is 18 to 32 years old.

Eligibility: Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture Science from a recognised university. Candidates who have taken or are taking the final semester exams are also eligible to apply, provided they bring their original certificates/mark sheets to the viva voce/interview. Freshers are welcome to apply if they have no prior work experience.

Rs. 56,100-1,77,500/- pay scale

Process of Selection and Application

On or before November 19, 2021, interested and eligible candidates must apply online through the Official Website.

Candidates must also provide scanned copies of their most recent passport-sized photograph and signature, as well as pay a Rs. 150 application fee via online means when completing the online application form.

The Authority shall choose the shortlisted candidates based on their performance in the Written Examination as and when it is decided.
